Reports are coming in that the new generation iPad, the iPad 2, will see the light of the day in Apple Stores across US on April 2 or April 9. The launch pattern is similar to the original iPad whereby the iPad 2 will be made available to more countries 3 months later.
More interestingly, the new iPad 2 will be made available US-only for the first 3 months and Apple store-only for the first 6 months. Retail chains like Wallmart and BestBuy can sell the devices only after October 2011.
