Reliance Communications hits 10 crore subscribers mark

Reliance Communications, India Indian telecom giant Reliance Communications [BSE: RCOM] announced lately that their number of subscribers in the subcontinent has reached the 10 crore (100 million) milestone. This makes Reliance Communications the second largest in terms of customer base.

Being in the telecom industry for 7 years, it’s only in the last 4 years Reliance Communications could achieve a substantial increase in the subscriber count from 1 crore to 10 crore. Apparently, it is the fastest achiever of the ground breaking milestone in a single country. Only 3 other countries worldwide have achieved such a milestone so far.

Anil Dhirubhai Ambani, the Chairman of the Reliance ADA Group said,

Reliance Communications pioneered the mobile revolution in India and since then we have been the frontrunner of telecom innovations in the country.
