Firefox 4.0: Tab animation and Tab Tear OffIt is all very clear that Firefox 4.0 will be leaning heavily on the UI changes to make web browsing fun and easy for the users. Revamping the UI seems to involve animations as well. Stephen Horlander released two videos depicting the New Tab animation and the visually appealing Tab Tear Off.

New Tab animation:

Look at the video below and see how the Firefox 4.0 is going to animate the new tab creation. How it will be ergonomically helpful is yet not known.

Tab Tear Off animation:

Even tab arrangement and detaching a tab from the window is being made visually appealing, with a small ‘+’ on the top-right to attach it back to the window.

Too much of resemblance to the iPad eh! Even we think so. Now here’s the interesting part. It just doesn’t look as awesome as the iPad, it even claims to perform as good as (if not better) than it. We’ve got the specs of the ExoPC Slate and would love to have a one on one with Apple’s iPad.

The ExoPC Slate surely does have some strong features to put one into a dilemma, like the Windows 7 OS, the webcam, SIM Port, 2 GB RAM, USB ports and not to forget the widescreen experience. Both iPad and the ExoPC Slate will be out roughly at the same time.

So finally it narrows down to what you feel about the ExoPC Slate. Do you think it can give a tough fight to Apple iPad?
