Previously we blogged about the new features in the Bing Maps Beta which included lots of high definition imagery from various aerial angles. Recent news is coming in that in December 2009, Microsoft poured in TBs of new imagery to Bing Maps making it information rich more than ever.

Statistical data:

» More than 274,000 sq. km of of new imagery added.

» 33,520 sq. km of Bird’s Eye photos added.

» 240,739 sq. km of Aerial view photos added.

» 1.1 TB of StreetSide image information added.

    Initially i didnt like Bing maps but it is slowly impressing me. Will check out if some new landmarks are there in the maps or not ;)
