Windows 7 releases in India with 40% the original price

It is a wide spread news that Windows 7 has been launched today so I won’t write about the same story again. But many people, especially Indian are pretty much confused about the price of different flavors of Windows 7. From the confirmed sources, we’ve received some final figures. It should be noted that, the Indian prices of Windows 7 is strikingly less by 40% than that in the US markets.

Windows 7 prices in India:

Windows 7 Home Basic 5,899/- INR
Windows 7 Home Premium 6,799/- INR
Windows 7 Professional 11,199/- INR
Windows 7 Ultimate 11,799/- INR

Krish, Windows 7 Family pack is available in select countries only. But if it is made available in India then Windows 7 Family pack prices will be around 7,500 (licenses of Win 7 Home Premium for 3 pcs) which is quite a fair deal.
