iPod nano with camera and FM live pause

Recently visited Apple’s iPod nano website and read the line “nano shoots video”. Sounds cool right. Beneath it was written a some more surprise “Also making its debut: FM Radio Live Pause”. Without any kind of word mumbo jumbo, let’s see what the latest iPod nano all about:

Usual features of the new iPod nano:

  • 2.2 inch TFT screen (240 x 376 resolution @ 204ppi)
  • Available in two flavors: 8GB or 16GB
  • Built-in mic support to record voice memos, class lectures, etc.
  • Holds upto 4000 songs or 15000 photos or 16 hours of video (on a 16GB iPod nano)
  • Available in 9 super brilliant colors

Not-so-usual features of the new iPod nano:

  • The new iPod nano is capable of shooting H.264 VGA video with 640 x 480 resolution @ 30 frames per second with AAC audio
  • You can shoot video with many real time effects like: X-Ray, Sepia, Black and White, Film Grain, Thermal, Bulge, Kaleido, Motion Blur, Mirror, Light Tunnel, Security Cam, Cyborg, Dent, Twirl, and Stretch.
  • iPod nano has built in FM radio with ‘Live Pause’ feature using which you can pause the live FM stream.
  • Built-in Pedometer functionality which assists you in your daily workout
  • Genius Mixes which makes music mixing a lot easier.

Price:

The price of iPod nano 8GB is $149 (approx. 7450/- INR) and that of the 16GB model is $179 (approx. 8950/- INR)
