This might be a little old but unknown news. We know that the internet is going mobile day by day and many service providers are giving special offers for using their mobile internet facility. High end mobile phones already have Wi-Fi facility so surfing internet is not a big deal. But Tata Indicom launched Facebook through SMS facility just some months back to provide a bit of breeze to its customers. We know that Tata Indicom has CDMA technology and the handsets are mostly in the range of 5K. Meaning that they are really handy and very light on the pockets. That obviously means no special glitters like cool internet features, customized applications, etc. But now, even Tata Indicom users can remain active on Facebook using the simple SMS feature. And guess what, this feature is exclusively for Tata Indicom users.
By using this feature, you can update your Facebook status, poke a friend, reply to a wallpost, write on a friend’s wallpost and search/add friends by just an SMS. To use this feature, you need to register your Tata Indicom mobile phone on Facebook. For this, log in to your Facebook account, click on ‘Settings’, and then click on the ‘Mobile’ tab. Here, you need to provide your Tata Indicom mobile number and soon you will receive an SMS which will have the authentication code. You just need to insert that code where it’s asked which will complete your registration process. Now you can enjoy using Facebook from your Tata Indicom mobile phone.
