Tutorial: Open Chrome directly into Incognito mode

by Jal on November 29, 2008

Google Chrome has an Incognito mode which is much more like a ‘stealth’ mode I can say, in which, anything and everything you surf does not leave traces on your computer and no history is saved. This is a very powerful option but this mode is not activated by default. Here is a simple (in fact, very simple) tutorial to open Google directly into Incognito mode.

Right click on the shortcut of Google Chrome.

In the ‘Target’ field, just add ‘-incognito’ at the end (without the quotes). Click Ok.

Done. Now Google Chrome will open directly into Incognito mode.
