There has always been rumors about anything that is supposed to happen in a near future and the same thing happened with Windows 7, the upcoming operating system from Microsoft. Saddening for hardcore windows fans that Windows 7 won’t be available until 2010 but the ‘baby Windows 7’ has already started taking shape in the mysterious Microsoft Labs. Obvious enough that the back-end will be taken care of first rather than the UI, it seems that Gates’ minions have been working hard to put the pieces together and they have managed to give Windows 7 a new look. Not too different from Windows Vista’s UI but there are 100% chances of a complete makeover as these screen-shots are from Pre-Beta Builds. Have a look.

Love it or hate it, but these are the results of the Microsoft’s ‘creative’ team and the users will have to live with it.

Just saw the BSNL website where they have mentioned something really exciting for its DataOne Broadband users. BSNL, as a Diwali Bonus, is giving away double downloads than usual on all broadband plans. This means that for 250 rupees, one will get 2 GB of data transfer instead of 1 GB. But this offer will be just for the month of November and only those users who have DataOne broadband for the last 5 months can avail this bonus. Moreover, BSNL has not declared any such offers for its Unlimited Plan users. Now that’s something partial. Well, its better to look at the brighter side right? This offer is confirmed in Maharashtra, Chennai and Punjab by the time of this writing. Other cities may be included. Please check it on BSNL Website whether or not your city is included in this give-away so that you don’t end up giving double the money when the bill comes out.

G-mail has been increasingly lovable in the past some months. Many have migrated from their years old Yahoo, Hotmail, etc accounts to G-mail because it is sleek, has lots of features and a little chemical-X too! So let’s say you have created your own G-mail account but all your contacts are still lying there in your old Yahoo account. And you are not that jobless to sit back and copy all the contacts manually from Yahoo to G-mail. Many of you must be knowing the easier way but here it is for the newbies.
1) Open up your Yahoo! account and click on the ‘Contacts’ tab.
2) Move your eyes far to the right and you will see the ‘Import/Export’ link. Click it.
3) In the ‘Export’ section, click ‘Yahoo CSV: Export Now’ button.
4) A ‘Save File…’ dialog box will appear. Save the file on your desktop.
5) Now open up your G-mail account. Click the ‘Contacts’ link on the left pane.
6) Click the ‘Import’ link far to the right.
7) Now you will see the familiar ‘Browse’ button. Click it and browse to the file you just saved. Then click ‘Import’ button below. Done! All your Yahoo Contacts will be in your G-mail account.
